This has already been a long winter with all the snow. Good for some, difficult for others but beautiful for all. There was a morning last week when we had frozen fog at the nursery and we all went out with our camera's. I am the worst photographer but Beth and Matt are good so I thought I would share some of our shots, mostly evergreen but the Harry Lauders Walking Stick Tree was special. Hope this finds everyone well in this new year! When this snow melts come see us and let us show you around the nursery! Don't forget to check our specials there are some great values to design into your next landscape.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
As 2009 comes to a close I want to express my gratitude to all of you who visited KAT Nurseries and to thank you for your business and continued support. We have had an unusual year and the relationships we developed over the year are greatly appreciated and I hope will continue to grow. Scout and I would like to invite you out to our beautiful nursery in 2010 to tour and to plan your landscapes using our quality plant material. Until then I would like to wish a very prosperous and happy new year.

The last color at the nursery as we head in to November
Japanese for Lion's Head
This beautiful Japanese Maple has small glossy green leaves that are firm to the touch and stay tight. It is a very slow growing tree, getting to 11-15' at maturity with a very upright growth habit. This is one of the last trees at the nursery to color as it held on to those beautiful leaves even with those fierce winds Friday!
